Content Creator Branding Photos

All you content creators and marketing experts do some AMAZING work. It is truly so valuable as a business owner that (unfortunately) isn’t an expert at everything. BUT if you are using stock photos, you are majorly missing the target. I hate to break it to you but the stock photos are NOT it. Every time you use a stock photo instead of your own personalized branding photos, a brand angel loses its wings.

So much about business has to do with being personal. At least to some degree. People need to trust you—and trust that you aren’t a robot. Using stock photos feels generic and cold every time. There isn’t much point to using imagery that doesn’t help communicate your value. Trust me, book the branding photoshoot.

Maverick Marketing Branding Photos

Abbe owns Maverick Marketing and does social media content creation for other businesses! She is all about helping business owners with content writing, content creation, strategy calls, audits, and full on social media management. She is newer to business and BOY did we make an impact with this shoot. We created loads of mockup type photos, headshots, flatlays, and even took to the streets.

We started with this SUPER cute styled desk setup at The Studio on Sampson. She brought loads of props with her which made for a session that is wildly unique to her brand. We popped a phone in a tripod for some B roll AND some shots that really show Abbe at WORK. They immediately help to communicate what she does.

I pulled out the tower fan for an editorial feel for some of her headshots and it was AMAZINGGG. I loooooooooooove. Those photos feel so high end. We did a mix of headshots like that which are simply, classy, clean and some shots that show her in action. The combo makes for a really useful gallery.

Outfits + Details

She’s got a little bit of florals going on on the table, the sunglasses, her HEELS?!?!??? All of her props and her outfit details are so on point (if you need outfit inspo, this post is for you). I did some black and white edits because they fit so well with her brand.

We got loads of gorgeous photos in front of the white curtain. Those are some of my faves. They feel so soft and feminine while still feeling powerful.

Outdoor Branding Photos

We were absolutely BLESSED with a warm day so we got outside for some photos and it gives her gallery SUCH an expansive range. Even without tons of outfits, Abbe had loads of variety in her photos. I had her out there filming content, looking through her (stunning) sunglasses at her phone, and strutting the streets like she runs this town. She totally killed it doing her thing. The outdoor photos feel very “Abbe in the wild”. They feel more lifestyle, personal brand, influencer IRL.

Central Illinois Branding Photos

As of right this very instant, stock photos are OUT. They don’t do anything to help your brand. Personalized branding photos are IN. Especially for marketing focused service providers, it is so important for your audience to be able to connect to YOU. They need to see your face, feel your energy in the imagery you use. I have had clients that say their audience immediately viewed them as an expert in their industry, as more trustworthy after posting their brand photos. It makes a difference. Your people see you more clearly with photos that are JUST yours.

Investing in a branding photoshoot can be a big step. But always remember that NOT booking the shoot has a cost too—all those future connections and sales that won’t be strengthened by the photos that illustrate you and your brand so clearly. Book the shoot. Bring the ideal version of your business to life.
