All of the Central Illinois business owners are so inspiring, and I love that we come together to help each other’s businesses succeed. If you own a business, you know how much time and stress it takes to market it. Mara wants to take a part of that on for you and it’s so nice to have someone focused on marketing in a genuine way and using her technical knowledge to help others to make it happen.
I hired Mara a few months ago to work on my blog and she works to make it easy on my end and the results have been great. Business Headshots & Photo Content
Creating photo content for small businesses and brands truly sets my heart on fire. I’d been watching Mara’s branding grow and shift with her business, and I really wanted to use Mara’s photo content to help show her brand as it is today and showcase her offers, her style, and who she is.
When I tell you that Mara came prepared, she came prepared. Mara came in hot with a detailed, well thought out plan of what she wanted from our session. Let me tell ya, I appreciate a planner. Clearly communicating helped her to get the most out of her session and helped me to get a clear understanding of Mara’s vision and bring it to life. I was able to create a game plan and manage our time so the entire day was effective.
Mara had evaluated what photos she needed from the session beforehand—from updated business headshots for profile photos and detail shots for her website + blog to photo content for social media sharing. She brought SO many fun props. Little disco balls, pens, books, plants, her laptop, ya’ll she even brought her desk. It helped to make her photos hers.
We focused on taking cute business headshots, fun detail shots, showing Mara in her element, and communicating her offers visually. We kept all of the details neutral and kept it all very true to Mara’s brand.
Mara had some inspiration photos of people taping papers and photos to the wall and I HAD to try it out with her. Mara brought different papers for texture and print outs that depicted her brand. We cut and tore them up to create this fun collage. We got photo content of her putting it together, of the collage itself, and of her in front of it! It was a great way to deeply personalize her photo content session.
I love digging deep into small business branding photography. The sessions I tend to have most often are monthly content creation and women’s business headshots, and branding sessions are a great in between. It is important to me that each session is unique and personalized—Mara’s photos ended up feeling so unique to her and I just love it.
