Clothing Brand Photoshoot

The Runaway RackSpring Content Session

As a brand photographer, I LOVE working with repeat customers!! Shay from The Runaway Rack is among my most frequent clients—we have been working together for a few years at this point—and every session we have it gets so much better. This spring photo shoot may have taken the cake.

Shay owns a mobile boutique (a truck affectionately referred to as Rosie) and online store that offers some of the absolute cutest tops, dresses, bottoms, and accessories a Central Illinois (and beyond) gal can find! We got loads of product photography for clothing promotion as well as sweet content for The Runaway Rack’s socials.

Shay was looking to show off her new arrivals, so we worked together to come up with some super fun ideas. We shot this clothing photoshoot in Downtown Lacon, Illinois then, scooted on over to my to my studio which is located in Lacon! We ended up getting some shots in at a local laundromat.

A few years ago, if you would have told me that I would be in a laundromat creating content marketing small businesses in Central Illinois, oh man would I have no idea what you were talking about. Even so, the photos turned out better than we could have imagined. We may have gotten a few funny looks, but did we or did we not deliver?! Sometimes, you have to put on a brave face and confidently keep going to get that content.

Taking your own product photos for your boutique?

Grab a posing guide to finally DIY photos you are proud of. You will think to yourself “how on earth did I function without this??!?!? That was embarassing!”

It warms my heart knowing how truly helpful these sessions can be. Shay’s customers are always complimenting her on her Instagram feed and how amazing her product photos are. She loves that she doesn’t have to spend so much of her precious time creating content for Instagram (hello immediate and major headache as a business owner). That is a massive stress completely eliminated.

Having product photography for clothing brands can add such a wonderful touch. I know that when I am browsing online, I feel that much more inspired to buy when the photos look this dang good. It is a win win. Shay gets not only a beautiful feed and website that turns heads, but it also helps her stay more consistent in her social media presence.

I am always down for a brand photoshoot. I have been offering mini headshot sessions at my studio and let me tell you, all my business owners are showing up for it! I love being able to come up with creative ways to showcase every one of my clients in their unique brand. It is amazing to see the difference it makes in the clients social media, websites, and entire brand!

Creating content can be a huge struggle as a business owner, and it has become a mission of mine to lighten the load. If you are looking to create some content of your own, check out my content guide. It will walk you through the process and wonderful packages I have crafted just for you.
