Esthetics Personal Brand Photography
This girl is entering her ✨ entrepreneur era ✨ . Malea is fresh from her Esthetics program and she has a VISION.
New Personal Brand Photography
First of all, Malea drove, like, an hour for our session. She found me on Instagram and decided to get herself all the way here for a personal brand photography shoot.
Malea is such a new, young entrepreneur and I am so proud of her for having the foresight to invest in her business in this way as she is creating it. She doesn’t even have her space yet, and she will totally kill in on social media right away. The way personal brand photography immediately changes how people view your business is insane. You immediately give off put together, trust worthy vibes—because people can see what you do. To have that right off the bat? That is how you write success into your business plan.
Malea wanted very classic, fun, kind of artsy photos. Her style is SO on point. She had the cutest outfits! We went for a black and white look which I love. I edited a lot of photos in black and white too. I don’t always include black and white edits, but when it fits the vibe, it fits the vibe. The black and white really aligns with her style and truly feels like the cherry on top for some of these photos.
We started out with the white seamless paper, a classic. We played with direct flash which always make for fun, artistic type shots. She had the coolest props. Truly iconic. She had these super fun sunglasses and this really cute purse. And the customized newspaper? ICONIC. I’ve seen other people do shoots with the same type of thing, but I’ve never had a client bring in a full newspaper. I just love that vibe. We got some detail shots highlighting the products she loves and tools she uses too.
This session was one of my favorite personal brand photography shoots. I am obsessed with these photos. I may say that for every single one of my clients. Truly though, I mean it every time. Each of my shoots are so fun because each one is different. Every shoot matches each brand and what makes it unique.
Personal Brand Photography Outfits
Her gallery of photos illustrates how your outfits can really affect your final gallery. The outfits she wears are all business-y, casual, sophisticated. They are stylish and align with her brand. They kind of make her pop. In a lot of her photos there’s not a ton happening, but they are still interesting because because of her outfits. The details make a big difference. The raw edge on her jeans, the belt, the shoes, the texture on her leather pants, her nails, her jewelry. They all make her photos more interesting and give her a variety of moods. The tan suit photos feel a little less playful and little more professional. The leather pants photos have a little more attitude and confidence. She then has photos ready to help communicate the mood for whatever she is promoting.
Maybe she would want to create an ad with the intention of reaching new people and instantly creating trust—she might use a photo where she is wearing the suit. Maybe she’s creating an Instagram post with the intention of connecting with people on a more casual, fun level—she might use a photo where she’s wearing jeans. It feels more approachable. Maybe being approachable isn’t a goal for your business. Maybe you want to be polished, something to aspire to. The outfits you wear for your session might look a lot different—because what you want to communicate is different. All the little details make a difference!
Malea is so sweet! Give her a follow—she is definitely going places.
