This husband and wife duo booked a shoot for realtor headshots and brand photos and when I tell you I am obsessed…. girl, I mean I am OBSESSED.

We went ham, too! We made gifs, we got headshots, detail photos, AND this was only a MINI SESSION. Can you tell I’m a bit of an over-deliverer??

Husband + Wife Duo Realtor Headshots

I met Kayleigh + Cody a while back, when I photographed their elopement. I worked with Kayleigh again on a brand shoot for her yoga and holistic healing business. When the duo came to me looking for updated headshots and brand photos I was over the moon.

I mean, talk about a power couple!

I’ve loved documenting these two in the various stages of their lives and business. They never fail to make me laugh and are some of the sweetest people to walk the earth.

Headshots are HUGE for realtors. You always see the same boring photo used over and over and it’s been so fun to change that for Kayleigh + Cody and in my other shoots with realtors!! We can bring life to the same old same old realtor headshots—your personality is more important than you may think.

Our Goals for Brand Photos:

I wanted not only to give Kayleigh + Cody a unique gallery of headshots and brand photos, but to meet their goals with these photos.

Kayleigh + Cody wanted fun, inviting photos. For social sharing, their new website, and marketing photos. They wanted to show themselves separately AND be able to show the husband/wife duo of it all.

It’s almost like you don’t realize how impactful all the places you use brand photos are until you are using them! Things like…

Social media marketing

Create a personal brand and show your clients who you are as a realtor. Your grid can be more than photos of random houses that may or may not still be for sale.

Website photos

The difference between having strong brand photos and NOT can be really apparent on the first impression that your website sometimes gives. Because you either look legit, or you don’t. You either look like you care or you don’t.

Sign photos

Some realtors use a photo of themselves on their house signage! Using a photo with some personality will turn heads.

Business cards + any printed marketing materials

I hate to say it, but people judge books by their cover. If your marketing materials are visually interesting to someone, they are going to subconsciously see you as the best of the best.

E-mail signature graphic

It’s the little things. Every little detail is important when you are serving people—especially with something as enormous as buying a house.

For sale + pending house graphics for social media

I have seen realtor clients use their headshot photos on these types of graphics and they look great! Another little detail with huge impact.

Key Elements for Realtor Brand Photos:

We were able to get SO many photos in such a short amount of time and I truly think these are the reasons why.

A variety of fun props

Kayleigh + Cody brought some signage, champagne, glasses (gotta get those “cheers!” photos), and loads of computer/work related props. We were able to set up multiple different scenes to make the most of the time we had together.

Good natural lighting

This mini session day was hosted at an AirBnB that had loads of natural light. It is definitely something to take into account when planning the location for your brand shoot.

Welcoming outfit colors (that fit with the brand)

I loved how Kayleigh + Cody went very light color-wise with a pop of color in the pants for their outfits.

A bright + clean house for your backdrop

Just like with wedding photos, your venue is your vibe! It’s going to be in the background of every photo. Having one that feels like the kind of house that people want to buy is going have impact on your photos. It’s definitely something that will make you stand out. Or maybe you have a certain style of house that people flock to you for—maybe thats more boho or moody or maximalist. Having your photos taken at a location that helps communicate that will be HUGE for your brand.

Central Illinois Brand Photographer

Brand photos and headshots are really where my heart is at. Bringing my own take to realtor headshots and breathing some life into Kayleigh + Cody’s photos has been beyond fun for me! I just KNOW there are more realtors out there in Central Illinois that could use a little of that magic (okay, maybe it’s more like love, care, and years of practice. But that’s kind of magic, isn’t it?).

Book the shoot. It will absolutely be worth it. Read more about branding photoshoots with AFP and reach out for your shoot.

“Hannah always goes above and beyond when I hire her. From scouting our wedding photo locations years ago to dealing with our kiddos crying during our branding session. She’s is patient, kind and always makes me feel comfortable in front of the camera. Her work is amazing and the photos turn out beautiful every time! She goes out of her way to help her clients when she doesn’t have to which is so rare these days. Thanks Hannah!”
