Senior Photos Under the Arch

Parker’s friend Olivia reccomended me to her after our shoot (see Olivia’s shoot here!!) and OF COURSE we had the most wonderful time. You have to know at this point how much I love and value location scouting (ESPECIALLY if we are Instagram friends!). I will always knock on a door to ask for permission to use a dream spot or spend my days driving all over town to find what calls to me.

We were feeling the last bits of summer leave as the leaves started to turn for the season. I found this arch covered with these perfect little flowering white blooms all over. I was stunned. It was the most beautiful, most fitting spot for Parker’s session.

Parker’s Senior Photo Outfits

Parker had some lovely outfit ideas for this shoot! I told her to not be afraid to lean into fall fashion a little, to create some variety!

I knew her white tank with jeans would be the PERFECT pop against the arch. She also had this sweet, summery yellow maxi and I HAD to take her to the banks of the river at golden hour for those artsy water shots. Between the white tank and long yellow dress that felt bright and summery, she had this white ribbed top under the green cami dress! It definitely brought us that fall vibe. Gorgeoussssssss.

She got the best of both worlds as a senior with a senior photo shoot on the cusp of Fall!!

Senior photos don’t have to be the stiff, posed, uncomfortable, harsh light photos of yesteryear.

I love getting to know my seniors, and show them as they are and what I can see they strive to be. We get these photos that are so unique and authentic. Everyone deserves to be the main character—senior year is the perfect occasion to have that main character moment. Photos are how we share, how we connect, how we remember who we were. A good quality senior photo is worth a thousand iPhone selfies.
