Nature Senior Pictures
Malaina is a Morton senior with a love for the outdoors. She’s not much of a sports gal (she LOVES academics) so we just focused on her and her personality. Malaina wanted an outdoor session and was really hoping for some photos in a wildflower field. Her session was in September so, by then most of the flower fields were not looking too fresh, but you KNOW I always work my magic.
We started Malaina’s senior pictures at the ICC Horticulture Land Laboratory and Arboretum. I’d never shot there before, but I absolutely loved it and it went perfectly with her outfits. With the colors and tones of her outfits and the location we got those gorgeous fall colors even though the trees hadn’t really started to change yet. She brought her 2 mini Australian Shepherds which immediately earned her extra points because ya girl is a sucker for pups. We got some cute photos with them and her cute overall outfit and explored the area getting loads of cute shots.
Malaina quickly changed into a cute new sweater/skirt outfit (absolutely poppin’) and we wandered over to this overgrown field on ICC’s campus. We all know that overgrown fields are my absolute fave nature locales, so it was a blast. We played around in the field with some fun poses and headed to location #2…
Senior Portraits in the Wildflower Field
I got SO lucky when I found that one of my former branding clients/friends, Melissa’s, parents had a wildflower field that she gave us special permission to use. It was looking FRESH, even into September. I planned for us to get there right as golden hour was approaching and let me tell you, I was on cloud 9. I felt SO creative. Malaina was killing it, and we were in this amazing, glowing flow. We stayed a little bit past the sun’s set and got some of the stunning cotton candy sky. It was so gorgeous I might have shed a tear or two.
Malaina did amazing and both she and her parents just adored the photos! She was the sweetest, such a doll. We genuinely had a wonderful time.
